The EPJ D special issue on the physics of bio macromolecules will focus on the following topics:
• physical properties and structure of macromolecules (DNA, RNA, proteins);
• De novo protein structure prediction and global optimization methods;
• DNA and protein dynamics at the atomistic level, folding and function;
• radiation damage of biomolecules;
• clustering in biomolecular systems and related phenomena.
